Job Title: Registered Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Walden Behavioral Care. As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing clinical nutrition and meal plans to patients in our 24-hour level of care.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Registered Dietitian to work in a fast-paced mental health environment. You will be responsible for:

  • Completing comprehensive Nutrition Assessments for newly admitted patients within 48 hours of admission
  • Prescribing appropriate meal plans to support identified nutrition goals
  • Working with patients and support persons to promote completion of meal plans
  • Performing individual and group nutritional therapy
  • Participating in treatment team planning, discharge planning, and liaison services
  • Providing effective education to parents and families
  • Communicating progress and activities related to treatment and continuing care plans
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related field, with a Master's Degree preferred
  • Experience providing direct nutritional care in an Eating Disorder Program and/or Mental Health setting, preferred
  • Experience with menu planning and therapeutic diets in a healthcare setting, required
  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
  • Licensure as a Registered Dietitian with the state of Massachusetts (LDN)
