Environmental Services Technician

This position is located within the Environmental Management Services Division of the Veterans Health Administration. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor or designee, performing both janitorial and custodial services at a VA Medical Center.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a full range of light and heavy cleaning duties and routine housekeeping duties.
- Clean wards, patient rooms, storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, shower rooms, and other areas.
- Sweep, mop, scrub (machine) floors, vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture, empty waste baskets, clean light globes and Venetian blinds, wash walls, windows and ceilings by climbing small ladders, refill toilet tissue and towel dispensers and move furniture.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- May be required to serve a probationary period.
- Subject to background/security investigation.
- Pre-employment physical required.
- Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process.
- Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
- Participation in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination program is a requirement for all Veterans Health Administration Health Care Personnel (HCP).
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Available shifts include 3:30 pm to 12 am and 11 pm to 7:30 am.
