Interior Design Professor

Michiganiida is seeking an exceptional Interior Designer with a strong research practice and experience teaching Interior Design at the college level.

• Teach courses in Interior Design and potentially other areas of the department that align with the candidate's research expertise.
• Conduct a program of creative and/or scholarly work.
• Contribute to curriculum development and other aspects of the department's intellectual life.
• Provide professional service.

A terminal degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture is required.

Candidates should demonstrate the ability to oversee curriculum development for an Interior Design concentration within a Design degree.

A research practice addressing various aspects of design and social justice is encouraged.

Candidates should demonstrate evidence of creative work consistent with expectations for a tenure-track position at a research university.

Preferred qualifications include experience teaching various aspects of Interior Design and working across disciplinary boundaries.
