Recruitment Overview

Current openings are available at the Women's Community Correctional Center and the Oahu Community Correctional Center.

Shift Requirements: Candidates must be prepared to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Responsibilities

As a Licensed Practical Nurse II, you will deliver a range of nursing care services and engage in related technical tasks. You may take on leadership roles within a team, overseeing intermediate care patients in various settings during evening or night shifts. Responsibilities may include supervising para-medical assistants and other unlicensed staff, along with performing additional duties as required.
Qualifications

To be eligible, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

Legal Work Authorization:
Applicants must be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or otherwise authorized under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.

Licensure: A valid license to practice as a practical nurse in the State of Hawaii is required.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of progressively responsible experience as a
(1) licensed practical nurse, (2) licensed vocational nurse, or (3) registered nurse, providing personal care and nursing services under the supervision of a higher-level licensed professional.

Certification: CPR/First Aid Certification is mandatory within the first three months of employment.

Background Check: All candidates offered employment will undergo drug screening and an extensive background check as part of the hiring process.
