About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team at The GEO Group, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for providing support in the planning, preparation, and analysis of the company's annual budget and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and coordination of detailed checklists to meet deadlines across all business units.
  • Help prepare the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, including data input, tracking user submissions, creating reports, and making recommendations based on analysis.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data within the Hyperion database.
  • Lead overhead cost analysis and prepare monthly variance reports with findings, working with all departments.
  • Develop, prepare, and analyze financial reports based on actual, forecast, and budget data.
  • Research variances utilizing our software platforms to understand certain accounts and/or variances, making recommendations accordingly.
  • Compare monthly financial performance against budget and/or forecast, investigating variances and communicating findings to management.
  • Assist facilities in budget preparation as needed, preparing budget data and budget justification information as required.
  • Document processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare weekly reporting dashboard and ad hoc reports as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, with a CPA, CFA, or master's degree in business preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) roles.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience with FP&A related ERP platforms (Hyperion planning/essbase preferred).
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and orally) to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to plan for, prioritize, manage, and execute work assignments within expected performance parameters and timelines.
