Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pediatrics team at Community Care Physicians. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical practice.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and record vaccines in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Document verbal conversations with patients and maintain accurate and legible patient records.
  • Process patient prescriptions and discuss test results with patients as directed by the provider.
  • Perform clinical office procedures, including PFTs, EKGs, nebulizers, medication administration, and immunizations.
  • Maintain timely patient flow and prepare patients for visits as required.
  • Obtain specimens from patients as directed by the provider and accurately enter orders into the lab system.
Requirements
  • Valid NYS LPN license.
  • Previous LPN experience in a medical practice or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech.
  • Strong computer skills with experience using EMR.
  • Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols, as well as policies and procedures related to infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records and skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques.
