We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as our Director of Equity Compliance Education. This is a critical role that will play a key part in ensuring that our institution is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations related to equity and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for employees and students on equity and inclusion topics, including Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, and ADA/504 compliance.
- Provide expert guidance and support to faculty, staff, and students on equity and inclusion issues, including harassment and discrimination.
- Collaborate with various departments and units across the institution to develop and implement policies and procedures related to equity and inclusion.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external experts and organizations to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging issues in equity and inclusion.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as education, law, or social sciences, and at least 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective training programs and policies related to equity and inclusion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership-building.
- Experience working in a higher education setting, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this sector.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to equity and inclusion, including Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, and ADA/504.
- Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures related to equity and inclusion.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and best practices in training and development.
