We are seeking a highly skilled Plasma Processing Technician to join our team at CSL Plasma. As a Plasma Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of plasma products.
Key Responsibilities- Plasma Collection and Processing: Responsible for collecting plasma samples and processing them in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure product quality.
- Sample Storage and Labeling: Ensures plasma units are properly stored and labeled according to SOPs, including unsuitable plasma units and samples.
- Equipment Calibration and Maintenance: Conducts daily calibration of equipment and ensures it is in good working condition.
- Donor Data Management: Accurately records donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in SOPs.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Monitors freezer and refrigerator temperatures and immediately informs appropriate personnel if equipment is not functioning properly.
- Team Collaboration: Works collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations and achieve business objectives.
- Continuous Learning: Participates in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with the latest procedures and technologies.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) months experience in a laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills: Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions; ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines; must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
This is a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The employee will be frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and to blood-borne pathogens. The employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas.
