Electrical Engineer Job Description

S&C Electric Company is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering function. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineers and product specialists to develop custom features for existing switch and fuse products.
  • Design switchgear control systems and metering circuits to meet specific customer application requirements using S&C automation products.
  • Design panel layouts, wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and generate Bills of Materials for low voltage electrical components.
  • Define requirements and write custom instructions for production testing of control circuits.
  • Generate supplementary instruction sheets that describe the operation of control circuitry.
  • Work within a team environment, interacting with design professionals and members of the Sales Services, Production Planning, and Assembly groups.
  • Participate in cross-functional design teams to ensure customer needs are satisfied through high-quality product designs.
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in design and drafting of electrical schematics and interconnection diagrams for low voltage control circuits.
  • Proficiency in CAD systems, preferably MicroStation, SolidEdge, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical abilities, good interpersonal and communication skills, and outstanding problem-solving skills.
