Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Technician II to join our team at The Scion Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical condition of our properties, ensuring the safety and functionality of our buildings and equipment, and providing excellent customer service to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the physical condition of our properties is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Respond to maintenance and repair service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of our buildings and equipment.
  • Prepare apartments for turnovers and ensure they are ready for new residents.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Assist in creating emergency and disaster preparedness plans and protocols.
  • Maintain key management protocols and security systems.
  • Document work performed and submit daily reports to the Facilities Supervisor.
  • Promote good public relations with residents, service staff, contractors, and management through excellent customer service skills.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3-5 years of full-time general maintenance experience.
  • HVAC certification and EPA 608 certification (Core, Type I, II & III).
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or intention to obtain within six months.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of key management and security systems.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and a safety-conscious attitude.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated ability to access computer programs and use or learn basic computer operations related to position requirements.
Operational Details
  • Job location is at the assigned property. May be required to travel periodically.
  • Serves in an on-call capacity, except during approved PTO periods.
