Certification Requirements
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (as per unit/specialty)

  • Licenses and certifications must be validated prior to commencement and upon expiration.
Position Overview
  • Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit for Stem Cell Transplant and Car-T patient unit.
  • Experience in Stem Cell is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Responsibilities include floating to Med/Surg and working every third weekend.
  • Candidates should be at ease with no on-call duties.
  • Utilization of Pyxis medication system, EPIC documentation, and SBAR communication is expected.
  • Dress code consists of Pewter scrubs (not supplied).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience required; 4 years preferred.
  • First-time travelers are welcome.
  • 24-hour orientation on the floor will be provided.
Job Requirements
  • Active nursing license in Illinois
  • ACLS & BLS Certification (AHA only, no HeartCode)
  • Preferred: OCN certification
  • Required skills include interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, administering blood products, central/PICC line care, emergency medication, titrating cardiac drips, assisting with BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube insertion/removal, care of ventilated patients, HFNC, ABGs interpretation, and suctioning (ETT, NT).
  • Preferred skills include IV Insulin Protocols, accessing ports, starting IVs, CVA/acute stroke management, ICP monitoring, chemotherapy administration, and care of surgical wounds with drains/wound vac.
Schedule Information
  • Shifts will be during daytime: 3x12-hour shifts.
