Job Summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a skilled Perinatal Ultrasonographer to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will perform ultrasound procedures to evaluate fetal development in multiple and high-risk pregnancies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform obstetric ultrasound procedures to evaluate fetal development
  • Monitor and evaluate exam quality and procedures
  • Check and complete patient name bands, physician orders, consent forms, and prescriptions
  • Follow department and hospital infection control guidelines
  • Explain procedures to patients prior to exams
  • Assure physical and psychological patient needs are met
  • Initiate proper response to emergent patient medical devices
Requirements
  • Completion of an appropriate educational program
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) certification
  • Meets licensure requirement for specialty (ARDMS Qualified)
  • Fetal Echo Certification is highly desirable
