Job Title: Vice President of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement

Vista Outdoor is seeking an experienced Vice President of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement to join our Global Operations team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement department and ensuring the necessary infrastructure to execute strategic and transactional processes with the highest quality and agility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives, managing the procurement budget, minimizing order quantities, and leading negotiations with suppliers to achieve favorable terms.
  • Responsible for supplier selection, contract management, and establishing strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Stay abreast of market, macro-economic, and commodity trends and innovations in procurement processes and technology to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Develop and lead a global team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure that the procurement department meets its short-term and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Implement a strategic procurement process for the organization to improve quality, service, and effectively capture reductions in total cost of ownership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree. A Master's and procurement certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of Direct Sourcing experience.
  • 5+ years of Indirect Sourcing experience (i.e., professional services, MRO, travel, packaging, transportation, contractors, facilities, etc.).
  • Strong global strategic sourcing background and experience with Apparel and Fabrics, Consumer Electronics, and Plastics in particular Asia and Latin America.
