Job Summary

Hillsboro Medical Center is seeking a skilled Medical/Surgical Travel Nurse to join our team. As a Medical/Surgical Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to Medical/Surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to meet those needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of recent Medical/Surgical experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week, with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
  • Flexibility to float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to care for Medical/Surg patients.
  • Ability to monitor, read, and interpret telemetry strips, and intervene when necessary.
