We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Youth Opportunity Investments, LLC. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related field and at least two years of experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the implementation of individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment.
- Provide ongoing evaluation, assessment, and counseling to youth and their families under the direct clinical supervision of a licensed mental health professional.
- Document the clinical course of treatment, including weekly progress notes, master treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, and aftercare/transition plans.
- Develop youth behavioral health discharge plan and aftercare plan.
- Assess the dynamics and functioning level of each family in case load and then formulate and implement intervention plan(s).
Requirements:
- Education: A Master's degree from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or in a related human services field.
- Experience: Two years' experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse problems.
- Skills: sound understanding of group leadership, group dynamics, and experiential education. Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Must be in good physical health and emotionally stable. Must be able to move about the property. Must be able to participate in youth activities. Must be able to transport youth or staff. Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state and to the extent that data is attainable under the law. Must be able to pass evaluation of physical techniques and written certification exam.
