Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team at Power Conversion Inc. As a key member of our electrical infrastructure team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain electrical frameworks, including detection and correction of faults in existing systems
  • Perform inspections, conduct assessments, and work with customers to determine issues warranting attention
  • Install and restore electrical frameworks, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Communicate effectively with customers, perform inspections, and diagnose issues
  • Work under minimal supervision, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Mentor apprentices and contribute to team growth and development
  • Select, install, and preserve the functionality of wires, plugs, panelboards, switchgear, and switchboards
  • Set up and maintain electrical machines, ensuring efficient operation
  • Monitor inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels
  • Log time and resources spent on each task, calculating costs and optimizing efficiency
  • Adhere to all relevant safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment
  • Act as a company qualifier for electrical contractor licenses in multiple states
  • Install and service industrial equipment, including DC power systems
  • Supervise internal/subcontractor teams installing or servicing industrial equipment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Completion of a relevant apprenticeship
  • Valid state license permitting practice as a journeyman electrician
  • Four years of experience as a journeyman electrician
  • Ability and willingness to maintain a valid driver's license
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time with overnight stays
  • Ability and willingness to obtain Electrical Contractor Qualifier Licenses or reciprocity in multiple states as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Prior field engineering experience
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in telco, data center, or other critical power facilities
