Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing and coordinating physiologic studies of sleep and sleep-related disorders. You will provide care to patients via technology, therapeutic interventions, and coordination of care with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment and perform all sleep lab procedures
  • Perform patient hook-up and machine calibrations according to department policy
  • Follow department procedures to ensure accurate data collection
  • Score and interpret Polysomnographic results
  • Conduct patient education and adjust teaching techniques according to patient needs
  • Participate in equipment care and maintenance
  • Identify and report any abnormalities
Requirements
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RpsgT) with 2 years experience in sleep diagnostics
  • Basic MS Office and Windows skills
  • Prior experience with Sleep/Works computerized acquisition system is preferred
Physical Requirements

This position requires ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
