Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registered Nurse delivers direct patient care within the framework of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
Utilizes effective communication in daily practice. Maintains a secure therapeutic environment. Identifies nursing challenges as they pertain to the unique needs of each patient. The Registered Nurse formulates personalized patient care plans while employing an interdisciplinary approach. Engages in performance improvement initiatives. Provides care and coordinates efforts that align with the hospital's mission and vision.

When assuming the charge nurse role, registered nurses oversee daily operations to ensure the provision of quality patient care in a therapeutic setting.

Make staff assignments based on patient needs, acuity, and staff competencies. Serve as role models and clinical resources for the team. Respond promptly to inquiries or follow-ups with physicians, staff, or patient concerns.

What you will do in this role:
You will assess, plan, and evaluate patient care requirements and execute physician orders.
You will administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
You will document and communicate patient conditions as necessary using computerized documentation systems.

You will educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
What qualifications you will need:

Registered Nurse from an accredited nursing program.
Current Licensure with the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
Current BLS and ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
Two years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
