About the Role
  • Job Type: Part-time, 24 hours per week
  • Shift: 8 hours, days

As an Outpatient Physical Therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in the physical therapy management of patients under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Services Director. Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating patients, interpreting evaluation findings, and developing treatment plans to achieve established goals.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Evaluates patients and interprets evaluation findings to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction.
  • Establishes treatment goals and plans treatment to achieve established goals.
  • Initiates discharge planning from physical therapy and implements the treatment program through direct treatment of the patient.
  • Provides advice and education to patients and family members.
  • Regularly assesses clinical signs and symptoms to determine the effectiveness of treatment, progress toward goals, and the need for modifying goals and treatment.
  • Discharges patients from physical therapy when they have received maximum benefit.
Basic Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a bachelors or masters or doctoral degree with certification in physical therapy or foreign-trained equivalent by date of hire.
  • Licenses: Physical Therapist License (California) required at hire, National Provider Identifier required at hire, Basic Life Support required at hire.
