Key Responsibilities- Collect and record patient medical history and vital signs in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, as directed.
- Administer medications and perform various medical tasks, such as taking EKGs and collecting lab specimens.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication and immunization information.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
- May be exposed to hazardous materials.
- May require prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
