Job Summary

Orlando Health is a leading healthcare system seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise professional judgment in performing diagnostic imaging procedures and maintain a safe and respectful environment for patients.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care by recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality and adhere to Orlando Health's mission and strategic imperatives.
  • Assess patient physical condition and age-specific needs, providing instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
  • Perform proper patient identification, acquire patient clinical history, and accurately document information.
  • Position patients, equipment, and associated devices to achieve high-quality images for interpretation.
  • Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
  • Comprehend and comply with Quality Control standards, participating in all Quality Control tasks.
  • Administer medical aid as required in cases of adverse reaction to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.
  • Apply appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.
  • Assist in supervision of student technologists and training of new technologists.
  • Utilize Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
  • Ensure safety of all customers and maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida.
  • Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or Valid Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) in (CT).
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
