About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Student Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Arizona State University. As a Student Mental Health Therapist, you will provide individual and group counseling services to students with various needs, including those related to academic pressures, personal struggles, and emotional well-being.
**Job Summary:**
This position is responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to ASU students, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing therapy sessions. You will also work closely with faculty, staff, and other university departments to ensure seamless support for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students, utilizing evidence-based treatments and tailoring approaches to meet each student's unique needs.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Collaborate with university departments, such as student affairs, academic advising, and disability services, to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Prioritize crisis situations, providing emergency intervention and referrals as needed.
- Participate in training and supervision to maintain licensure and certification, ensuring the highest level of professional competence.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and ASU policies regarding student records and confidentiality.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program and one year of experience providing psychological counseling and therapy to college students or late adolescents. Additionally, you should be licensed as a psychologist in Arizona or obtain licensure within one year of employment.
