Job Title: Extrusion Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating extrusion line equipment, setting up and troubleshooting production lines, and ensuring high-quality products are produced.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate extrusion line equipment, including selecting and installing tooling, ensuring correct resin, and positioning controls to SOC.
  • Start up and troubleshoot production lines, testing initial product and making necessary adjustments to ensure product meets specifications.
  • Run production, packaging product in accordance with packaging instructions, performing QC tests, and storing finished product per instructions.
  • Troubleshoot process issues and validate process is in control.
  • Enter data correctly into data collection and clean and return all used tooling to stock.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient use of calipers, micrometers, and rulers.
  • Ability to read and understand Metric and English (US Customary) measuring systems.
  • Basic computer skills and math skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift Certification.
Working Conditions:

Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, safety glasses, bump caps, protective gloves, and hearing protection. The work environment is a manufacturing setting with potential exposure to dust, fumes, and odors.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive tasks.
  • Routinely stand, sit, hear, walk, and talk.
  • Reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and balance, sometimes in awkward or tight spaces.
