As an Automotive Technician, you will play a vital role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our guests' vehicles efficiently. This position serves as an excellent entry point into your career at Monro.
From day one, you will engage in a comprehensive Technician training program, covering all facets of your new role and preparing you for future opportunities.
As an Automotive Technician, you will be an integral team member, executing repair services on guest vehicles.More importantly, you will collaborate with your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, utilizing your technical skills to ensure safe and reliable transportation for our customers.
Compensation
The hourly wage for this position is $36.00, with potential for additional compensation and incentives based on experience.
- Perform brake, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and various automotive repairs and maintenance within your qualifications.
- Obtain guest approval for work based on your diagnostics and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Conduct thorough inspections on every vehicle serviced and execute necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Safely test drive guest vehicles and utilize our shop truck for inventory pickups as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and provide guidance to General Service Technicians.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Possession of a basic set of automotive tools or participation in a tool purchase program.
- Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- A guest and team-focused mindset.
- Maintain an Automotive Technician State Inspector's license, where applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE automotive certification in at least one of A1-A8.
- Automotive Technician State Inspector License.
- Certificate or degree from an automotive technical school.
