Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Semiconductor Equipment Technician to join our team at Career Crunch. As a key member of our technical support group, you will provide expert-level assistance with high vacuum equipment for PVD and related robotics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain semiconductor process equipment in the field to prevent downtime.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and implement solutions.
  • Collect data for software-related issues and collaborate with headquarters in Japan.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities and provide field service reports.
  • Install equipment control software and maintain software revision history records.
  • Participate in equipment installations at customer sites.
  • Monitor stock levels of service parts and equipment to ensure adequate inventory is available.
  • Provide training and assistance to other technicians.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience with PVD or semiconductor vacuum equipment, preferably with an associate's degree.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred, but candidates without relevant qualifications may be considered with equivalent experience.
  • Multi-chamber cluster systems and robotics experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Experience with PLC and other software applications is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently after 3-6 months of on-the-job training.
  • Analytical skills for problem analysis and resolution are essential.
Work Environment

This role requires working primarily in a cleanroom environment, wearing full cleanroom attire, facemask, gloves, safety glasses, and standing for substantial periods. The worker may be exposed to various physical conditions, including proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and chemicals.

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
