Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Hort Finishing Processor to join our team at Pacer Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general hand and table work, including loading and taking off and packing of finishing machines, and operating small finishing machines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate small finishing machines
  • Hand strip and perform general table work
  • Train new employees on all aspects of the job
  • Operate printing computers for carton labels
  • Read and follow SOP's for the job
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Maintain quality in our products
  • Perform minor maintenance on the small machines
  • Read and follow directions on job tickets
  • Count product to ensure accuracy
  • Distinguish color to ensure accuracy in quality

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • The ability to interact with automated machinery
  • The ability to write and speak simple sentences
  • The ability to read/speak English and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos
  • The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • The ability to count and measure
  • The ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed

Estimated Salary: $20.32 per hour
