Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Digital Circuit Designer to join our team at NetApp. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing digital circuits using PLDs such as FPGAs and CPLDs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement digital circuits using PLDs such as FPGAs and CPLDs.
  • Perform peer code reviews and verification testing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines.
  • Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures to verify functionality.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments related to PLDs.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve performance, reduce cost, and enhance functionality.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers to integrate hardware and software components.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve overall design quality.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of digital circuit design principles, including HDL programming (VHDL, Verilog).
  • Proficient in using industry-standard design tools such as Quartus and ModelSim.
  • Experience with high-speed communication protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, and USB.
  • Familiarity with hardware debugging tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Typically requires a minimum of 2 years in digital circuit designs using PLDs such as FPGAs and CPLDs, or related experience.

Experience with Intel-based platforms and embedded programming is a plus.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $103,000 - $145,000 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education.

Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.

This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
