Job Title: CT Technologist

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue.

About the Job

This is a 13-week contract position with a top healthcare facility in Asheville, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have 18 months of prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist and be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT).

Responsibilities
  • Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue
  • Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
  • Appropriately set the controls of the related equipment, monitor equipment and patient, and make adjustments as necessary
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable
  • Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans
  • Assist radiologists with interventional CT procedures
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure, and label appropriately
  • Schedule patients for procedures and assist with some clerical functions
  • Charge procedures and supplies used to the patient record
  • Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration
Requirements
  • 18 months of prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist
  • ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification
  • Most states require licensure
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
