Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our team at VAMAC INC. As a Counter Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers at the counter and over the phone, increasing sales and average order size, and working cooperatively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to customers at the counter and over the phone through accurate order entry
  • Increasing sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional as well as new products
  • Working cooperatively with other team members, such as coordinating deliveries with drivers, pulling customer orders, helping replenish inventory and pulling transfers in the warehouse, and other branch operations as needed

Requirements:

  • Computer literacy. Ability to use Microsoft Office, as well as proficiency in order entry processes using our Epicor Solar Eclipse system, VAMAC's intranet, or other systems as applicable
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple platforms (i.e. in-person, phone, email, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team; ability to multitask
  • Ability to stand and walk for long duration, as well as lift up to 100 pounds
  • 1+ years experience within the industry is preferred (sales, plumbing, order entry)
