About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Veterans Support Specialist to join our team at Insight Housing. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing street-based outreach to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the counties we serve.

The ideal candidate will have prior direct support experience with Veterans and individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health, substance abuse or other social issues. A commitment to serving individuals experiencing homelessness and understanding of and sensitivity to issues related to homeless, low income, mentally disabled, and chemically dependent persons is essential.

Responsibilities include:
- Providing street-based outreach to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the counties we serve.
- Serving as the liaison between homeless individuals and our Roads Home team.
- Using active listening and motivational interviewing techniques to engage with people experiencing homelessness.

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
