Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Principal or Designee, the Athletic Trainer will oversee the development and implementation of preventative care, emergency response, and therapeutic/rehabilitation programs for student-athletes and coaches at both High School and Middle School levels.
The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of independence, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement injury prevention programs for student-athletes
- Provide emergency care and first aid during athletic events
- Design and implement therapeutic/rehabilitation programs for injured student-athletes
- Collaborate with coaches to promote athletic program excellence
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited professional athletic training education program
- Certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer from the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency
- Previous experience as a high school athletic trainer preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain insurability status under the District's vehicle insurance policy
