Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Principal or Designee, the Athletic Trainer will oversee the development and implementation of preventative care, emergency response, and therapeutic/rehabilitation programs for student-athletes and coaches at both High School and Middle School levels.

The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of independence, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs for student-athletes
  • Provide emergency care and first aid during athletic events
  • Design and implement therapeutic/rehabilitation programs for injured student-athletes
  • Collaborate with coaches to promote athletic program excellence
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited professional athletic training education program
  • Certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer from the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency
  • Previous experience as a high school athletic trainer preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain insurability status under the District's vehicle insurance policy
