About the Role

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of magnetic resonance imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and positioning them correctly
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any emergencies that may arise
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Maintain accurate records of patient procedures and results
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as radiologic technology or a related field
  • Advanced Specialty Certification in MRI or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including occasional weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • AART license/certification
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
