We are seeking a highly skilled Lactation Consultant to join our team at Recruitics JB. As a key member of our Maternal Child Health department, you will play a vital role in providing expert care and support to new mothers and their babies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and consultation services for patients related to breastfeeding, in accordance with professional nursing standards.
- Assess, provide, and evaluate lactation education programs for childbearing clients, their family members, and hospital staff.
- Design and deliver patient and staff education programs, assist in establishing standards of care for breastfeeding mothers, and participate in continuous performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for mothers and babies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in lactation and maternal child health.
- Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Maternal Child Health, with a focus on lactation and breastfeeding support.
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
