Join Cappello's Operations Team

As a vital member of our Operations team, you will take charge of order management and creation, overseeing fill rates and related metrics. Your role will involve collaborating with demand and supply planning to maintain optimal inventory levels, working closely with third-party logistics providers to ensure timely fulfillment, and coordinating with Sales to prioritize orders, manage exceptions, and plan for new product launches and promotions.

This position encompasses the coordination of all freight activities, including the management of inbound materials, transfer orders, and outbound shipments as necessary. We are seeking candidates located in the Denver area.

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input, approve, modify, and fulfill purchase orders from distributors and retail clients daily using NetSuite.
  • Manage order prioritization and capacity with third-party warehouses, including generating outbound pick lists as needed.
  • Schedule and oversee inbound and outbound freight from manufacturing sites to customer-facing warehouses, ensuring the accuracy of invoices, bills of lading, and billing processes.
  • Collaborate with freight brokers to schedule and tender trucks in a manner that optimizes both service and cost.
  • Evaluate and manage the performance of third-party logistics and freight broker partners.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including fill rates, on-time delivery, order discrepancies, pending inbound deliveries, freight mode compliance, and load optimization.
  • Enter shipment orders into a third-party warehouse system, pending the completion of EDI implementation.
  • Reconcile inventory at third-party warehouses monthly, addressing short-coded, obsolete, and damaged products.
  • Track future orders and communicate order issues to the team for continuous improvement.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager with purchase orders and other tasks as required.
  • Complete month-end tasks and reporting accurately and on time.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with third-party logistics and freight broker partners, serving as the primary contact for issue resolution and escalation when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in supply chain, customer service, freight, or transportation.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with vendors and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite.
  • Basic understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) workflows, including the ability to submit support tickets.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Video Conferencing, Google Docs) and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Self-motivated with a positive outlook.
  • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented problem solver.
