About the Role

As a Plasma Center Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of plasma donations. You will be responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, and reviewing laboratory test results. You will also be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all plasma donations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine donor eligibility and manage donor adverse events
  • Review laboratory test results and ensure that all plasma donations meet the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors and ensure that their needs are met
  • Work collaboratively with the medical team to ensure that all plasma donations are collected safely and efficiently
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in plasma collection and medical procedures

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where responsibilities will be assigned
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
  • Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
  • Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
  • Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
