Fire Suppression Service Manager

We are a leading provider of fire suppression and safety solutions, dedicated to protecting lives and property through innovative fire protection systems. Our commitment to safety, reliability, and excellence drives everything we do.

The Fire Suppression Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire service division, including inspection sales representatives, service superintendents, service administrators, and service technicians. This key leadership role is crucial for ensuring that the department operates efficiently, maintains profitability, and meets customer needs while adhering to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Management: Oversee and lead all service personnel, including inspection sales reps, service administrators, superintendents, and technicians. Provide guidance, set clear expectations, and support their professional development.
  • Operational Efficiency: Manage day-to-day service operations to ensure timely and efficient completion of fire suppression system inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Work closely with other department leaders to optimize resource allocation and operational workflows.
  • P&L Accountability: Monitor and manage the financial performance of the service department. Track revenues, costs, and profitability to ensure that the service side meets financial goals. Develop strategies to improve service department margins and control expenses without compromising quality.
  • Project & TI Sales: While service inspections are managed by the inspection sales reps, the Service Manager will focus on driving sales for tenant improvement (TI) projects and other larger fire suppression projects. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to generate repeat business and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining open lines of communication with clients, addressing their concerns, and providing solutions to meet their fire protection needs. Build and foster long-term client relationships to drive retention and service contract renewals.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with the Service Superintendent and other key personnel to schedule jobs, assign service teams, and ensure all service activities comply with safety standards, fire codes, and customer requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate current processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement. Implement best practices that enhance service quality, reduce response times, and improve overall client satisfaction.
  • Compliance & Safety: Stay up-to-date with fire safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards to ensure that all work performed by the service team is compliant. Promote a culture of safety within the team, conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring all personnel are properly trained and certified.
Qualifications
