Key Responsibilities:
- Provide essential medical care, including preventive services, diagnosis, and management of both acute and chronic conditions within the scope of practice.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and perform necessary medical procedures.
- Prescribe medications and refer patients to specialists or additional health resources as needed.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and professional standards, ensuring quality care delivery.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of clinical policies and protocols.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and participate in peer review processes.
- Attend all required meetings and training sessions, contributing to team collaboration.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions while maintaining confidentiality.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and participate in after-hours call coverage.
- Foster positive relationships with all health center staff and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Mentor and supervise medical students and trainees as assigned.
- Identify and address barriers to patient self-management and goal achievement.
- Adhere to universal precautions and maintain safety standards in the workplace.
- Participate in community outreach activities as part of the health center's mission.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in Pennsylvania.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
- Current DEA registration and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Compliance with health clearance requirements, including immunizations.
- Commitment to professional development and continuing education.
