About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and caring Preschool Substitute Educator to join our team at the Child Abuse Prevention Council. As a substitute educator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education and care to our preschoolers in the absence of their regular teachers.

Responsibilities
  • Represent the agency in a professional manner, modeling a commitment to our Mission and Values.
  • Promote teamwork between Early Education Services, CAPC staff, volunteers, Board members, and other relevant individuals to support the successful operation of each program.
  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with stakeholders to ensure support of our vision, mission, and values.
  • Work effectively with diverse staff, parents, children, and community members.
  • Maintain compliance with CAPC Policies and Procedures, funding and regulatory rules, and laws that apply to program contracts and oversight agencies.
Requirements
  • 12 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or higher.
  • A valid Child Development Assistant Teacher Permit or higher required within 6 months.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children ages 0-5.
