Job Title: Housekeeping Associate

Marukai Markets dba TOKYO CENTRAL is a rapidly growing retail chain offering a wide selection of Japanese and Hawaiian imported products. We're seeking experienced Housekeepers, Janitors, Custodians, and Cleaning Crew Members for our Maintenance Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, storage areas, and selling floors
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and bathrooms using established practices and procedures
  • Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers
  • Replace burnt-out light bulbs and refill restroom dispensers
  • Assist with setting up facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, and events
  • Strip, clean, buff, and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors; vacuum carpets
  • Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools
  • Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Must be 18 or older to use sharp knives, ladders, and power-driven machinery
  • No experience required, but 1-2 years of work experience in a similar environment is preferred
  • Previous experience as a Housekeeper, Janitor, or Custodian is preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds without aid
