Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at The Health Care Center At Standifer Place. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to our patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
  • Take and record patient vital signs, lifting, moving, and transporting residents using proper body mechanics.
  • Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to a nurse manager, asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
  • Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
  • Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
  • Assist the nurse with various duties as directed.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program (Training provided by The Academy of Allied Health Careers).
  • Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA.
  • Able to be on feet 7-8 hours per day.
  • Able to lift 60-70 lbs. on a frequent basis.
  • Able to bend, stoop, squat, or twist frequently throughout the day.
  • Able to see and hear adequately to respond to auditory and visual requests from residents.
  • Able to speak clearly to adequately communicate with residents.
  • Upper extremity mobility which does not impede fine motor coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Report any medical conditions, such as communicable disease, that may interfere with providing direct resident care.
