Radiology Imaging Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at RAYUS Radiology. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for operating a computed tomography (CT) scanner to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Imaging Procedures: Perform routine and advanced CT procedures on designated portions of the body, utilizing minimal supervision or repeats.
  • Patient Preparation: Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications, explain procedures to patients, and provide support throughout the procedure.
  • Scan Parameters: Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment in good working order, clean and disinfect equipment after each use, and adhere to safety regulations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support and Training: Assist with maintaining an updated CT protocol manual, monitor medical supply inventory, and order supplies as necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in radiology or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: ARRT (R) certification in CT required.
