Job Description:

The Lead Systems Validation Engineer is responsible for the comprehensive design, development, assessment, and execution of integration, testing, and verification activities for product components, emphasizing mechanical, electrical, and embedded software elements, culminating in formal documentation.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all Validation & Verification (V&V) processes essential for the introduction of new and updated medical devices.
  • Apply standardized development protocols and project management expertise to evaluate and test the specifications of electromechanical medical devices at various levels, addressing testing challenges, and supporting V&V technicians.
  • Ensure that customer requirements are fulfilled, including the management of Validation activities to enhance confidence, reliability, and satisfaction in market-released products.
  • Maintain technical proficiency through ongoing training, literature review, professional networking, and awareness of industry advancements.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in V&V for ventilators, sleep therapy devices, oxygen concentrators, personal wellness devices, and related accessories.
  • Proficient in engineering principles, developing V&V test strategies, test protocols, requirements traceability matrices, and test documentation, as well as validating testing methodologies and possessing knowledge of global medical device regulations and standards.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or science discipline or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to perform essential physical, cognitive, and environmental job functions with or without accommodation.
  • Capable of adapting traditional techniques to resolve intricate issues, demonstrating skills to navigate technical challenges, and effectively managing assignments of significant technical complexity.
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels, with the ability to tackle a range of simple and complex challenges, support multiple projects, and work independently to achieve project objectives.
