EHS Specialist

We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team at J&J Family of Companies in Lititz, Pennsylvania. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our site's EHS programs and ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the environment.

• Perform industrial hygiene monitoring, analyze results, and issue industrial hygiene reports.
• Manage site industrial hygiene plans, including exposure monitoring/modeling, containment testing, and hearing conservation needs.
• Manage site respirator protection program and chemical safety program.
• Ensure industrial hygiene considerations are incorporated into relevant capital and site minor works projects.
• Implement environmental, health, and safety policies and programs to assure compliance with local government and company requirements.
• Identify and manage industrial hygiene risks through industry-leading technical innovation and support.
• Coordinate and facilitate process safety management through leading the site's Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)/HAZOPs programs.
• Facilitate completion of process hazard identification and risk assessments to develop risk management strategies.
• Ensure an annual program of PHAs are compiled and adhered to, including close out of actions related to PSM.
• Ensure Management of Change procedures are followed to minimize risk.
• Conduct site assurance (self-assessment) and reviews in identifying and correcting EHS issues.
• Facilitate compliance audits by assisting management in conducting risk assessments.
• Review operating and maintenance procedures for compliance with EHS programs and policies.
• Participate in environmental, health, and safety reviews, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Act as the environmental, health, and safety representative in external audits and inspections by local government agencies.
• Monitor the progress of management action plans and assure all records are maintained and reports submitted timely.
• Assist in developing site environmental sustainability goals and achieving environmental stewardship programs.
• Engage business leaders to review EHS performance, compliance, and issues.
• Cultivate an atmosphere of willingness and information sharing to encourage a culture of high awareness regarding EHS policies.

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
• 4 years of EHS experience is required.
• Strong leader who builds trust to achieve desired results is required.
• Knowledge of state and federal EHS regulations is required.
