About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Head Start Teacher to join our team at Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. (CIFC). As an Infant/Toddler Early Head Start Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and care to infants and toddlers (ages 6 weeks to 3 years) in our Danbury Early Learning Programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans for a classroom of 8 infants or 8 toddlers, promoting social, physical, and intellectual growth.
  • Support your students and their families alongside a co-teacher, receiving support from a classroom aid and a Family Advocate.
  • Document observations using Teaching Strategies Gold and Creative Curriculum, and enhance language development through LENA technology.
  • Communicate child routines with parents through Procare Software and Remind messaging.
Requirements
  • CDA Certification or 12 College Credits in Early Childhood Education (Required)
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Psychology (Preferred)
  • Must be vaccinated against Covid-19, or be willing to get vaccinated prior to start (Required)
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged.
