As a Registered Nurse in our Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with a range of medical conditions, including cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and traumatic injuries.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and admit patients, conducting thorough evaluations to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including communication with family members and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Associate's degree in nursing or higher from an accredited program.
- Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or eligibility for licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
