Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at SquareTrade. This individual will be responsible for leading the development and execution of comprehensive testing strategies across various product lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and architecture, to influence software design and ensure quality is integrated into the product.
  • Work closely with product, marketing, and development teams to understand requirements and create detailed use cases, test cases, and test plans.
  • Develop and maintain test suites for functional, regression, acceptance, and UAT testing.
  • Identify key areas for automation and develop test suites in collaboration with the automation team.
  • Ensure the quality of code before releasing to production through functional, integration, data integrity, and regression testing.
  • Create detailed bug reports through root cause analysis and work with architecture, development, and product teams to prioritize them.
  • Liaise between product, development, and SQA teams to enforce SQA standards and best practices.
  • Provide sprint and release test reports and metrics.
  • Understand deployment scenarios and manage deployment to test environments.
  • Lead other Software Quality Engineers, including offshore teams, as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Software Quality Life Cycle, Agile/Scrum procedures, and processes.
  • Ability to work with product and engineering partners on large projects with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
