Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) plays a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, providing therapeutic interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist. This dynamic individual will implement treatment plans, observe patient responses, and document progress.

Licenses and Certifications

A current, valid state PTA licensure or certification is required, along with a degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program. Experience in a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
  • Observe patient responses, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies for continued progress at home.
  • Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
