Overview:
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to join their team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. This esteemed hospital operates a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, serving 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. Kings County Hospital is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. The hospital serves a diverse patient population, with the majority being Afro-Caribbean. Most patients are native English speakers, although knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities:
The Gastroenterologist will provide inpatient and outpatient gastrointestinal care, evaluating and diagnosing patients with digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders. They will develop treatment plans, ensure appropriate follow-up care, and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed. The physician will also perform endoscopic procedures, administer medications and treatments, educate patients and family members, and maintain accurate patient medical records.

Qualifications:
Current licensed NY State registration (or the ability to obtain one), Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology, and a graduate from an approved Medical School. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
