Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $83,000-$110,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Analysis:
  • Analyze architectural and engineering project documents to determine elevator material needs.
  • Estimate Preparation:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and other project-related expenses.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Collaborate with suppliers to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals for compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Proposal Compilation:
  • Compile and present cost estimates and proposals for review.
  • Ensure estimates align with project or program specifications, i.e., UFGS standards, federal contract requirements, transit material minimums, etc.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed records of all project estimates and proposals.
  • Prepare cost variance reports and analyze project profitability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably in the elevator or construction industry.
  • Familiarity with government contracting processes and UFGS standards is a plus.
  • Proficiency in elevator costing or design is a positive.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to self-teach/create work instructions to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
