Overview:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within the facility. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough cleaning of rooms and common areas, including dusting and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Manage linens by sorting, counting, folding, and transporting them as needed.
  • Prepare guest accommodations by turning mattresses, making beds, and arranging furniture.
  • Ensure cleanliness of bathrooms by polishing fixtures and spot-cleaning as necessary.
  • Dispose of waste and manage trash removal efficiently.
  • Report maintenance needs and equipment issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • May assist individuals with developmental disabilities as required.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional training in housekeeping operations is a plus.

Experience: A minimum of three years of general work experience is preferred. Proficiency in reading and writing English is essential for understanding procedures and communicating effectively.

Other Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a drug screening and background check.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Ability to work with various cleaning chemicals and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working with adults with disabilities is advantageous.
